Sketch # 5 a scrapbook layout

Hi everyone the layout today is for a scrapbook page. I designed this page for my eldest Son's graduation page in 2002. ( wow!! time flies!!!) It is for a 12 x 12 page but if you use less pictures it would also do for a 8 x 8. I've also included a picture of the page to give an idea of the scale of the pics.

Hope you enjoy the sketch and come back for more.....

Baby's 1st birthday Sketch # 4

Hope you are all enjoying Elaines Sketch!!. I found it really useful if you have a big image you want to use. Here I have used it to make a Baby's first Birthday card. I used A5 size cardstock as I wanted it a bit bigger. I'll be back later with a scrapbook layout for you....... Have a lovely day.

Sunday 23 August 2009

As promised I have made a card with the sketch below.

A new sketch for you this evening. I have kept it simple (I like simple) so you can use your imagination. I look forward to seeing some of your cards, so don't be shy please share with us any cards that have been inspired by our sketches. I hope to be back later with a card using the sketch. I need to wait till hubby takes the photo, poor soul is left with the dishes....

This is a quick sample card of sketch # 3.
I hope it helps with your inspiration.

Sketch # 3

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you're all having lovely day. It's another wet day in Scotland so its a great excuse to craft. Vee has kindly asked me to put a sketch on the blog. So this is a first for me, I have never used the computer to design anything so it has been a bit of trial and error on my part. Here it is, a fairly simple one to start but it is open to your imagination to add some little extras. These layouts are for inspiration and are not set in stone, so feel free to alter them to suit your own card.

Have fun!

Pokemon Birthday....sketch #2

Hi again, just wanted to show the card I made tonight for an order using Sketch #2. As you can see I've moved the elements around a little bit but the basic layout is still there.
I'll have another layout for you sometime tomorrow, this time from my crafty friend, Elaine, so remember to pop back and see her fab Sketch. Huge thanks to everyone who has become a follower I'm absolutely chuffed to bits at the response I've had since Monday...it's been amazing.
A few scrapbooking sketches coming soon........

A little more inspiration...

Hi again!!
As it's the launch day for my Sketch Pad I thought I'd put on another layout, and also introduce you to my friend and tremendously talented crafter Elaine. I have asked Elaine to join me in designing some layouts for you and I'm happy to say she has taken on the task. You can visit Elaine's blog by clicking on her name in the sidebar. She has some fab cards and creations so pop over and pay her a visit.

Here is Sketch # 2

I'm off now to hopefully make a few cards, don't forget to leave a comment and a link to your creation we would love to see your take on our sketches.

SKETCH #1

Hello there , and welcome to my Sketch Pad.

For a long time now I've loved doing sketches for my cards and scrap booking and decided it would be a good idea to put them in a blog where anyone can come along and pick up a sketch. It might help you past that BLANK moment that we all have from time to time. You know the sort of thing, you gather all the yummy papers, your image, all the fab little embellishes you're raring to go and......nothing...!!! No matter what you try it just doesn't seem to want to come together. We've all been there loads of times, well this is the place to maybe help you with your layout. I will try and post a new sketch here every Monday ( all my own work) and sometimes two. It may be a sketch for a card, ATC or Scrapbook page I'll try and alternate them.

If you use one of my sketches, don't be shy leave me a comment and a link to your card and I'll feature some of them on here. It's nice to see the finished article.

At this point I must add that THIS IS NOT A CHALLENGE BLOG, however I may do a draw of the cards that I see and offer a small prize to the winner from time to time. If I decide to offer a prize I will let you all know when I post that weeks sketch. Pheeew!!!
I hope you will enjoy this blog and use it often for your creations. It's still a little bit empty at the moment but I'm sure it will fill up nicely as the weeks progress. Thanks to everyone who visits and don't forget to tell me when you have made your creation and I can come visit you.
Now here is sketch # 1 , quite a simple layout that could be used for a card or a scrapbook page,I find this layout a really good starting point adding to it as you go.

Happy crafting...
